Upstream is the first of two planned comic books. Together they illustrate the opening scene of a feature-length story about a young American woman who finds music-world success in a little-known developing country. While being given the red-carpet treatment by local dignitaries, her trip takes an alarming turn that has ramifications both abroad and back home.
